Master painter, abstract artist, and tireless explorer of color, Samuel Rojas will take part in the International Art Fair CONSTELACIÓN 2025, taking place on October 17, 18, and 19 at Nave Lewis in Parque Fundidora, Monterrey, Nuevo León. His work will arrive in northern Mexico through the representation of Mor Gallery.

An Artist Who Paints from the Roots of Time

Rojas (Mexico City, 1959) studied Graphic Design and forged his artistic path through the exploration of gesture, emptiness, and composition. Since then, his work has moved between the visible and the invisible, engaging in a constant dialogue with light and silence.

During his extended stay in Oaxaca (1995–2018), Samuel Rojas immersed himself in a fertile environment of experimentation and craftsmanship. There, he refined his mixed-media techniques — oil paint, cochineal dye, earth pigments, and amate paper — and found in the layering of materials a metaphor for time itself. Each of his paintings emerges as a territory where color breathes, vibrates, and falls silent; where matter becomes memory.

Today, his artistic journey brings him to Monterrey, where his paintings will become part of the constellation of CONSTELACIÓN 2025, an event that celebrates the diversity of contemporary art and the singular voices of Mexican creators.

Mor Gallery: A Bridge Between Art and the Gaze

From its space at Tehuantepec 147, Roma Sur (Mexico City), Mor Gallery promotes artists with solid trajectories and authentic artistic discourse.

For Monterrey, the gallery presents a selection of works that reflect the sensitivity, technical rigor, and profound connection to materiality that define Samuel Rojas’ practice.

At booth #19 of CONSTELACIÓN 2025, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the work of Samuel Rojas — an artist who does not paint what he sees, but rather what vibrates within the human spirit. His presence at this fair reaffirms a career shaped by the exploration of color, matter, and visual memory.
